Yair Shoham

yair@genesispartners.comYair joined Genesis Partners in 1999, and focuses on communication and consumer products’ investments with a particular emphasis on semiconductor solutions for various markets and applications including cellular, lighting, video and wireless. He is currently a board member at Discretix, modu, Oree, RADWIN, and Sensible Medical. Yair also served as a board member at msystems, a worldwide pioneer in flash data storage solutions, from 1995 until the sale of the company to SanDisk (NASDAQ: SNDK) in 2006 for $1.6 billion.
Prior to joining Genesis Partners, Yair gained vast hands-on entrepreneurial experience at Butterfly VLSI and VDOnet. He helped establish Butterfly VLSI, a successful Genesis Partners portfolio company, and led its sale to Texas Instruments. Yair joined Butterfly from VDOnet, which he co-founded in 1996 and where he successfully co-led the sale of VDOnet's technology to Citrix Systems.Yair began his career practicing securities and corporate law, first in the US, where he developed an expertise in M&A’s and IPO’s, and then in Israel, where he was a partner at one of Israel’s leading law firms, Goldfarb, Levy, Eran & Co.
Yair holds a JD from Loyola University School of Law and a BA from Haifa University.
